All About Golf

A Short Introduction

golferGolf has for hundreds of years been the sport of civilized, competitive and illustrious sportsmen and women who enjoy a challenge, the peace of the outdoors, and the intense concentration required to truly become a golfing champion. Although many people try their hand at golf there are relatively few who have the time, the patience, or the talent to really make it to the big time. It is of little surprise that some of today’s biggest golfing stars have had to spend years in intense training with little (or no) social life, very few hours sleep, and the constant feeling of needing to do just a little bit better. Once bitten by the golfing bug, you’ll never go back.

Whether you’re out in the Scottish moors, strolling down an English green, putting in the Florida sunshine or lining up a hole in the desert of Dubai, golfing will always challenge you. Even courses that you have played for years on end have a habit of throwing up surprises and new experiences so that even those who have won tournaments and championships on them before will struggle with the new lay of the land. Golfing is one part perseverance, one part physical exertion, and four parts passion. If you haven’t yet experienced the feeling of hitting a hole in one, arriving in the clubhouse under par, or wheeling your golf buggy out onto the green on a cold crisp morning, you don’t know what you’re missing out on.
