Golf Equipment
Whether you are a beginner or a pro, a weekend putter or a team player, you really should make sure you have all of the equipment you need to be able to play to the best of your ability, unhindered by malfunctioning or second-hand tools.
The two absolute necessities for any golfer are some golf clubs and some golf balls. Without these two crucial tools you would be hard-pressed to play a game of golf! Although there are a few different types of balls available on the market – generally they boast different cores or shells which alter the way the ball flies or rolls – if you’re just starting out you really could use just about any golf ball. As for the clubs, if you really want to get serious about golf, this is where you should spend your money. Go to a sporting equipment store, or better yet, a golf equipment shop, and be sized up for a set of clubs. It’s important that they are the right length, and the assistant will take into account your height and the length of your legs, torso and arms.
Aside from the absolute must-have equipment of the clubs and balls, there are a number of other accessories which can make your playing life a lot easier. A golf-club bag, for example, can make a real difference, and indeed most golf courses would probably insist players use them to contain their clubs. Tees are important too – these are the little plastic spikes which you hit your ball off of when you are at the tee. |
